Northwest China's Gansu Province reported seven new imported COVID-19 cases from 8 p.m. Sunday to 8 p.m. Monday, the provincial health commission said Monday.
All the new imported cases, including a five-year-old child, are Chinese citizens who departed from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aboard Flight MU7792 and arrived in the provincial capital of Lanzhou on June 15.
To date, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on board the flight has increased to 19.
A total of 233 close contacts on the flight have been placed under quarantine at designated locations, while one other passenger has been placed under medical observation at a hospital.
By Monday, Gansu had seen a total of 66 imported COVID-19 cases, 47 of whom have been cured and discharged from hospital.
